Telegram takes a page out of the Whatsapp playbook and is now available on the web as well.

Telegram is a cloud-based mobile and desktop messaging app with a focus on security and speed.

This is particularly good for corporate environments where installing native apps is not always allowed and good for users who like the instant nature of websites.
